I'm the Quality Manager for Faustson Tool Corp. I inspect difficult parts that most shops would back down from. Every part that we make goes through my hands and can't leave the shop without my signature. I inspect parts using Zeiss coordinate measurement machines (CMM) and Calypso software. I also have a full climate controlled metrology lab with various gages and equipment to inspect parts with. I'm the lead auditor for ISO 9001:2015. I control the calibration schedule for inspection gages. I'm also a delegated inspector for Ball Aerospace, which means I'm approved to inspect offload jobs. I Initiate internal and external non-conformances, including corrective and preventive actions. I quote jobs for inspection hours. I plan first article, in-process and final inspections. I love my job; it's nice to work around very smart people and have top of the line equipment.
