As part of my internship at UCT Prague, I am engaged in a cutting-edge research project focused on the Utilization and Repurposing of Electrodeionization Modules for Acid Generation Using Bipolar Membranes. Under the mentorship of Associate Professor Luděk Jelínek, I am exploring innovative chemical engineering solutions for sustainable acid generation and water treatment.My role involves:Conducting experimental research to optimize the performance of electrodeionization modules.Analyzing data to assess the efficiency of bipolar membranes in acid generation.Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to explore applications in environmental and industrial processes.Gaining hands-on experience with advanced laboratory techniques and cutting-edge technologies in the field of electrochemical engineering.This internship provides me with valuable insight into the practical applications of chemical engineering and is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of sustainable technologies.

Gained hands-on experience in leather production processes, conducting process optimizations and collaborating effectively with engineering teams. Carried out an in-depth analysis of leather chemicals production processes, studying 8 units of the production line. Conducted an improvement study that addressed a 36% energy efficiency increase, defined by mass and energy balance analysis for spray drying. Worked closely with process engineers as a team, examining and documenting production stages in detail.

Revamped quality standards in process laboratories for 4 weeks by collaborating with engineering teams. Managed laboratory procedures and ensured adherence to quality assurance protocols, conducting 10+ tests per sample. Worked in a team of 15+ members to maintain organization, overseeing 9 distinct laboratory instruments. Executed 100+ analyses and extensively collected results to aid product development and maintain quality standards.
