The University of San Diego School of Law's Administrative Hearing Program (AHP) is a program dedicated to providing administrative hearing services to local government entities and the public. The AHP serves in a capacity similar to an administrative court, leveraging its institutional resources and the talents of its personnel to ensure due process is afforded to both the public and local government entities in hearings related to administrative appeals involving local or municipal administrative enforcement issues. The AHP has been training and supervising Administrative Hearing Officers to preside over local or municipal administrative hearings since 1994. The AHP provides hearing officer services for the following municipal/local agency administrative enforcement appeals: parking citations; code enforcement actions; administrative citations; civil penalty assessments; permit/license denial, suspension, discipline, and revocation; transient occupancy tax assessments; abatements of public nuisances.
Taught substantive courses in contract law and remedies. Also taught introduction to law for paralegals, which encompassed civil procedure, evidence, and due process lectures. Prepared curriculum, drafted exams and assignments, and issued grades based upon student performance.
