My role primarily focusses upon providing pastoral care to students at the sixth form. In this capacity, I liaise with subject teachers, academic support staff and the parents or guardians to ensure that each student is provided with the best conditions to achieve excellence academically and experience holistic care. Additionally, I deliver workshops to help develop individual resilience and a range of life skills, in order to effectively support students through their two-year study programme, equipping the student with a variety of tools for the following stages of their life journey.

In my role, I support the learning needs of individual students who are at risk of failing to achieve their expected grades, particularly A Level Sociology, Accounting, Business and Economics. I monitor, manage and maintain appropriate behaviour for learning within my study space. At any point in time, I am responsible for the learning environment, wellbeing and safety of up to 70 students. In addition to my day to day tasks, I assist with a support programme designed for students who have fallen behind with BTEC Business coursework.
