A’LISA B.BIOGRAPHYA'Lisa got her start when Chicago A&R personality Mike Hernandez introduced her to the late Frank Rodrigo. The former owner of SOS Records/BMG, best known for the hit dance singles "Short Short Man", and "Lick It". Frank signed her to an exclusive songwriting and artist deal. Then with the backing of the production team 20 Fingers (Charlie "Babie" Rosario, J.J. Flores, and Manny Mohr), A'Lisa started writing hits for other artists, including the freestyle classics, "Praying For An angel" (Rochelle) and "In My Heart" (Isaac).After a brief period as a solo artist ("I'm in love" SOS/Warner Brothers) she joined the Pop/Reggae trio Max-A-Million. Their debut CD, Take Your Time (which was co-written by A’Lisa) was released in August of 1995 and featured songs influenced by Dance, Reggae, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Pop. The CD earned her several awards and reached Gold and Platinum status in over 30 countries, spawning a world tour of North America, Europe, Guam, and Asia. A’Lisa is honored to have shared the stage with many great artists, including Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah, The Backstreet Boys, and the Late Aaliyah.After taking time off to be with family and to live a “normal Life”, A’Lisa is now in the studio, writing and recording songs for other artists as well as for her own solo project. Although she isn’t fluent in Spanish, A’Lisa learned to read it at an early age, and her only standing ovations have been for her impeccable interpretations in Español.
