About Ashley Macintyre, M.Ed

In my work I have been able to implement a variety of approaches with clients such as emotion-focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal therapy, and attachment theory. I enjoy working with my clients through an eclectic approach as I believe it is important to form case conceptualizations and treatment plans that are specific to the individual. Although I have completed my degree, I am excited to continue my education through workshops, trainings, and personal research, in order to both deepen and broaden my skills as a psychotherapist.I am a graduate from the University of Ottawa's Master of Education in Counselling Psychology program and I am a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO) where I hold the title Registered Psychotherapist. I have worked very hard over the years to gain experience in the mental health field, which led me to realize that I am very passionate about the field, and that I am determined to make a positive contribution in people's therapeutic experiences.
