My thesis is focused on public procurement and its capacity to address the climatic challenge a local authority has to face. The hypothesis is that new procurement practices would lead suppliers to develop more sustainable products and processes, which would accelerate the ecological transition of the territory as well as it would improve the local resilience. It is intended to identify on what terms and conditions public procurement can be a lever to address this challenge, and what will be the consequences. The approach is a case study of the city of Paris, within the procurement department.
