Leading a group of high school students to design, build, and fire a hybrid rocket engine.This project taught me an immense amount in things as disparate as engine design calculations, long-term project management, and full-system design thinking.Worked with aluminum machining, electronics, polymer casting, multi-phase liquids, extreme temps/pressures.

In charge of leading team strategy, in addition to leading the scouting of other teams and heading the practice and tactics of the drive team. In the 2023-24 season, I stepped up to also lead the mechanical department, using my leadership experience to direct the design and construction a competitive robot much quicker than the team is normally capable of.

I participated extensively team activities such as robot construction, strategy, and driving, and while far from my first robotics experience it was an amazing first season in the FIRST Tech Challenge.

Acted as the front face of our team to other organizations. I work on coordinating outreach events setting up educational visits to elementary and middle schools, and creating an educational rocketry camp, all with the goal of inspiring interest in STEM among hundreds of under-served youth.I am also heavily involved with the club proper, working on projects including:* National Finalist level TARC rockets* Flight control board for a smart-controlled rocket* Full-implementation payload system for a NASA Student Launch Initiative

In Fall 2022 I co-founded the very first high school ARC team in San Diego.We consist entirely of CCA students, and have people of all grade levels.As a founding member and member of the leadership, I primarily led the programming and business aspects of the club, before focusing more on the business side of things in subsequent years following a merger with another club.

Created a Computer Vision based screw sorting machine from the ground up.This machine was developed as a group project, where I was involved in several different areas:I was in charge of the systems engineering, ensuring that all the mechanical, electronic, software, and Computer Vision components would integrate quickly and efficiently. I created a Python program that orchestrates the various parts of the machine, while also providing a clean GUI for the user.I designed the output mechanisms of the machine, which physically directs each screw to the appropriate bin once the screw type is determined.
