"Six - Degree of Freedom Simulation of Ballistic Trajectory"Advisor Dr. Shrabani Ghosh, Scientist 'F', Group Director FSMA• Learned about different kinds of ballistic and cruise vehicles and technology used in testing those vehicles• Designed a Six - Degrees of Freedom simulation program using MATLAB to predict the trajectory of a ballistic vehicle for given initial conditions, aerodynamic characteristic, fuel properties and number of stages of the vehicle• Simulated the effect of staging on the ballistic trajectory and validated the results using theoretical models and publicly available data

"Design and Optimization of Capsule for Hyperloop Transportation"Advisor: Prof. Sandeep Saha, Aerospace Engineering, IIT Kharagpur• Started from an ellipsoid shaped pod in Hyperloop like condition and optimized the geometry using Genetic Algo.• Simulated the pod using ANSYS Fluent to obtain the Volume/Drag (V/D) ratio for every generation• Applied Tournament selection and Binary Crossover to obtain 2 generations of pods, maximizing their V/D ratio

• Recruited and led a team of four secretaries to organise social events, workshops and expert talks• Organised various social events like Fresher’s Welcome, Sports Meet and Annual Farewell for Aerospaceengineering students• Organised workshops on MATLAB and Aeromodelling for First and second year UG students

"Effect of Change in Apex angle of Delta Wing on its Aerodynamic characteristics"Advisor: Prof. Sandeep Saha, Aerospace Engineering, IIT Kharagpur• Used ANSYS Fluent to simulate delta wings of different apex angles at different angles of attack• Plotted lift and drag coefficient of the wings vs α, and analyzed them to determine wing with highest lift and stall• Fabricated wings with desired characteristics and performed wind tunnel testing to validate the simulated data• Performed smoke flow visualization to analyze the effect of angle of attack on Vortex breakdown over the wing

“ARM based Smart Interactive Notice board” Advisor: Prof. Anup Ghosh, Aerospace Engineering, IIT Kharagpur• Developed a Raspberry-Pi based module for displaying seminars and notices on any console screen• Developed a web interface to take the input of information over the intranet and store it locally, used Python to process the stored information and functions of OpenCV to create images based on stored data
