Working with the Genovate social entrepeneurship team, I facilitated the relationship between The George Institute's researchers and George Health Enterprises, the social enterprise subsidiary tasked with taking research outputs to market and widespread scaleup. Responsibilities included representing The George Institute at industry events including invited talks and presentations, managing the development process for a new product to be taken up by George Medicines, and participating in internal social entrepreneurship development and training opportunities for research staff.

Its mission is to utilise technology and new care models to improve the management of chronic disease globally. GHT takes IP generated by The George Institute for Global Health's world leading research program and brings it to the market to achieve scaleup and widespread implementation.My role as Clinical lead involved leadership of the clinical team, responsibility for the clinical quality of our products, as well as leading our product development strategy and creating processes that streamlined operations within the company. With 3 direct reports, and working closely with the CEO as part of the executive team, I led customer relationship management, product design, contract review, as well as contributed to business development and external stakeholder and vendor management.

As Medical Advisor, I provide medical input to the Health Technology Assessment team, and in collaboration with the Health Economics team lead am responsible for reviewing the HTA reports generated by the team to ensure quality and accurate reports are provided to government.I also lead my own research, writing and submitting grants and tenders, leading execution of projects and managing research budgets, supervising Masters and PhD students in their projects facilitating high quality outputs, A key role is writing reports and publications for both the peer-reviewed scientific literature, but also government reports.
