Anna’s graphic design background as well as her deep interest in the anisotropic Universe shapes her current abstract and expressionist painting style.She takes her inspiration from the beauty of nature, still life, folktales, and the cultural wealth of Slavic Russia (pre-christian period). Moving around the world in the past, and now permanently residing in Belarus, her work is a pure reflection of complexities and contrasts that she had faced on the road. Anna uses different types of media, often choosing a pure unprimed linen base for the softer and more exotic finish. She experiments with color, texture, and form integrating them into a unique composition. Her method involves both planning and spontaneous side - which ultimately brings the right balance to the work. “We live in the world of distorted mirrors, where everything you were told is a lie. But what we are without the truth? And is it all just a long and torturing experiment or we’re suffering for a purpose? In the moment when all these words mean nothing for most of the people, let my paintings speak out for me. Spirit to spirit, mind to mind”.
