KARACHI CIRCULAR RAILWAY PROJECTThe 43 km karachi circular railway project is to be implemented under JICA Soft loan(94%of the project cost US$ 2.4 Billion) under the execution by karachi urban transport company( KUTC) governed by the Board of Directors headed by Chief Secretary, Sindh. i am also one of the notified Directors of the Board .3 JICA Study on karachi improvement projectThe study includes preparation of transport master plan with 2030 vision dully supported by various household surveys and traffic survey besides environmental assessment studies and community participation their to, Karachi mass transit cell being the overall supervisory agency. i was fully responsible to interact with 24 different specialist/experts of JICA team, besides, other consultants hired by JICA to facilitated. JICA team to accomplish the task in time. Furter, being the Chairperson of the technical committee notified by Government Of Sindh to review of progress of the study project, Further, I have also served joint Steering Committee meeting as Secretary, moreover, I have supervised /Conducting Seminars/Workshop,Capacity Building training programs and various meetings for community participation under the JICA Study Program.On the implementation of the proposed mass transit program by JICA I have coordinated with Finance Department , GOS,for immediate implementation of BUS RAPID TRANSIT SYSTEM(BRTS) Project on fast track.
