Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), a worldwide ministry of Anabaptist churches, shares God's love and compassion for all in the name of Christ by responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice.​During my summer service work I will be mentoring throughout the Detroit area. Each summer, before we began to work, a select few of us MCC Summer workers stay in a designated area for for the MCC program orientation. Which is a great experience it self. It allows us to come together and talk about our goals for the upcoming summer and how we could better ourselves to become great MCC leaders before going back home to start or summer project. My project is to mentor the youth in the area by providing summer education, food, guidiance, and more. I look forward to improving the world we live in by starting with the Detroit area.
