As the Director of Inclusive International Trade at Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada), I design and lead global growth opportunities for Canadian women entrepreneurs in the tech sector. With a Ph.D. in the humanities and social sciences, and a background in cell biology and anatomy, I bring a set of cross-disciplinary skills to international trade, investment, and policy.My mission is to support diverse women-led SMEs in innovation industries, such as eldercare robotics, education tech, clean tech, and smart cities technologies, to connect with global partners and access emerging markets in the Asia Pacific region. I lead a team that executes trade missions to the Indo-Pacific, provides market research, and designs market entry strategies for women entrepreneurs. I also develop strategic policy leadership toward gender and racial diversity in Canada, working with a national coalition of industry and government thought leaders to address anti-Asian racism. I am passionate about advancing inclusive and sustainable growth for Canada and the world.
