I started as a sales associate. My tasks were to seek out customers and offer any help they needed with projects they were working on. This could be as simple as helping them find a specific item to more complicated tasks that involved helping them plan out a larger construction project, tools they would need as well as solutions for problems they might run into during the process. I transitioned into a freight team associate after a year. This position deals with high accuracy and making sure that orders coming in are correct according to the paperwork. I am also tasked with ensuring any freight that is stored is labeled accurately and is done as efficiently as possible.

Barre Construction was a locally owned small business that specialized in both new framing construction and renovations of residential properties. I was in charge of reading and interpreting blue prints for the new construction and getting work done on time and accurate. I was also given the task of working with new hires and providing supplementary training to the best of my ability when on site alone with them in order to still meet the deadlines associated with construction projects.
