Studio Folder focuses on the visualisation of ideas and concepts through a diverse range of work in Italy and abroad, including editorial, art direction, exhibition design, brand identities, data visualisation, web platforms and curatorial projects.Folder was founded by Marco Ferrari and Elisa Pasqual in 2011.

Awarded a scholarship at FABRICA communications research centre.Here I was initially part of Urban Codes, a studio focussed on investigating public spaces. Urban Codes created new tools in order to better understand contemporary cities, citizens and urban cultures. It focused on how people interact with each other and their environment, the changing norms of living in cities and how people navigate and communicate in their urban environments.Following this, I became a part of the new Interaction Design department and contributed to the research group Being and Dying. This studio researched and investigated current systems and approaches to dying, through experimental design.FABRICA is a creative laboratory where 30 young researchers experiment with and build upon the knowledge they bring from the outside world.It is a design centre, but we are not there to learn about good Italian design (although some of us do). We are there to produce new ideas, to make changes, to figure out how different skills and cultures can redesign each other, all inside an Italian home styled in concrete by a Japanese architect. We are there to code, design, film, write, compose, remix, hack, edit, reprint.

Josephmark envisions and executes digital products that have the power to connect and transform. On each and every project we invest and innovate. We partner and prototype. And we dream, design and develop.Here I worked on a wide range of both studio ventures and client/partnership projects, including the Asia-Pacific Design Library and independent news organisations The Global Mail and News.net. A large project I was part of was for Digital Latin America, researching and exploring the future of personal media, framed within Latin America culture.Josephmark-led ventures included music discovery platform We Are Hunted (subsequently acquired by Twitter) and Undrtone; a mobile-focused player that harnesses the industry’s leading streaming services.

After years of witnessing international musicians omitting Brisbane from their touring schedules, I co-initiated Moth; a semi-regular music and art event. We aimed to entice international acts to our city, while supporting and showcasing upcoming local and national artists.We collaborated with over 40 musicians, DJ’s, visual artists and photographers, including Neon Indian (US), Classixx (US), Mark E (UK), Lost Valentinos (AU), Georg (AU) and XYZ Studios (AU).I was involved in every facet of the project, including event planning and management, artist bookings, communications, promotions and art direction.
