Task: Helping secondary school students with the courses they find difficult and help them prepare for their exams.

I was positioned at the flexible discovery unit (FDU) in the medicinal chemistry research and development department. During my internship at GSK I worked on two projects:Project 1: Synthesis of inhibitors of a peptidase used to study its role in an immune disease. Project 2: Developed methodology and synthesized a focused chemical library to investigate the application of a photoaffinity labelling approach. Achievement: 273 reactions and 169 compounds in 3 months

Project Instumental AnalysisTask: Helping students with the understanding of analytical techniques including1D and 2D NMR, MS, chromatography, light spectroscopic techniques (CD, IR).I learned to understand their questions and difficulties and how to give detailed and relevantexplanations in response to the students.
