𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦:➊ Assisted in the commissioning of Supcon DCS JX-300XP with 600 I/O's.➋ Improved the power factor of Caustic Soda plant from 0.82 to 0.97 by installing a 500 kVAR APFC panel.➌ Reduced the THDi of Caustic Soda plant from 15% to 4.7%, by installing 5th and 11th single tuned passive Harmonic Filters.➍ Synchronized the utility and DG power supply for the uninterruptible plant operation, reducing the downtime due to power failure by 30%.➎ Commissioned 12 Medium Voltage Switchgears by ABB and installed a SCADA system - Husky RTU 6049 for its monitoring and control

My Internship at Tarbela Power Plant started with a detailed overview of Hydroelectric Power and how the concepts of power generation are implemented there. I worked at four different departments under the supervision of department heads which are: 🅐 Operations and Maintenance of rotating and static equipment. 🅑 Protection and Instrumentation.🅒 Switchyard.🅓 SCADA.After the completion of my internship period, I was asked to make a presentation report which consisted of what I have learnt, which areas require improvement and how my knowledge of power engineering could result in an improvement for the plant.
