I took a decision to write independently after seven years of working with the organisation as I felt there wasn’t enough growth – both in terms of the compensation package and the scope of work. As an independent journalist, I wrote for publications like The Hindu Business Line, Mumbai Mirror, Business Standard, Man’s World and my work has been published online on Newslaundry.com. A lot of writing work for Accenture as a freelance writer. This work included creating content for white papers, write authored articles, research papers and more. I also wrote for Ernst & Young, HCL, Star Sports, among other corporate firms.

Prior to joining The Times of India, my last full-time assignment was working with Business Standard newspaper as the Assistant Features Editor. I worked with Business Standard for seven years in various capacities – I joined the bureau as a senior reporter, to handle the advertising and marketing beat. Worked with features team of the newspaper, writing mainly for ‘Weekend’, as I didn’t want my role to be restricted to one particular beat. Wrote on different subjects, and more importantly, I wanted to be involved in the process of editing and working with other writers. As Assistant Features Editor, and thereafter wrote and edited feature stories; commissioned contributors for the features sections; and wrote stories and editorials for the main paper.Helped develop a new weekly page on personal technology and a new weekly page on auto/gadgets and gear for the Weekend paper.
