Whilst I am a final-year trainee clinical psychologist, I am a youth worker at heart, having always been passionate about working with adolescents and young people. I've developed a particular interest in autism and neurodiversity, focusing my current research on autism in women and girls in the hopes of serving this often under-represented population.Trained as a psychological therapist, specialising in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with experience in adapting Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills and third wave models, and specific training in Enhanced CBT (CBT-E) for the treatment of eating disorders. Recently, I have been expanding my expertise in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), with hopes of pursuing this further post-qualification. My journey in psychology is driven by a genuine desire to better understand people and how to walk alongside others through their unique challenges. My faith plays an important role in my life, guiding my values of empathy, compassion, and respect for all individuals. Just over 10 years in, but more enthusiastic than ever about advancing my knowledge and skills in this field.
