As a customer care agent I answer customers' queries regarding Solar Together, a group-buying scheme for solar panels in the UK. Working in this position is valuable to me as it allows me to contribute to making renewable energy sources more accessible.

I became the Head Editor for Sciences at InPrint over the summer. This change in position gave me more responsibility within the committee, as I along with the Editor in Chief and other department Heads are largely in control of the agenda and organization of the committee. Excited to have a larger role in InPrint!After my time as Head of Sciences came to an end, I stayed with InPrint over the summer of 2022 to help with the publication of my last Capstone Issue.

InPrint is AUC's Academic Journal. It publishes peer-reviewed papers from AUC students. As a Science Editor, I take part in the editing process for papers from the Science faculty. The editing process for a published journal spans months, ranging from choosing the papers to be published, to editing final touches on these papers.

As an interdisciplinary editor, I took part in the editing process for papers from all faculties (Humanities, Social Sciences and Sciences). I was soon presented with an opportunity to move over to the Science Department, which I saw as a chance to develop academic skills in my own discipline.

I completed an internship working in a neuroscience research lab focusing on multiple sclerosis (MS). I learned about preservation and preparation of biological samples used for studying MS. My internship culminated in my own experiment of how the brains of MS patients differ from healthy ones, through studying the process of demyelination.

Working in a popular cafe, I tended to customers, prepared products, and worked in the kitchen. I learned varied skills relating to time management, customer skills, and work ethic. Working in an intensely collaborative unit was especially rewarding, as was successfully getting through busy moments. The responsibility of training new employees was extended to me, which I took seriously.

I had the pleasure of working, through Joblink, at several Kesko-owned grocery stores around Helsinki and Espoo in Finland. Working at a plethora of stores added a level of variety to the job description, which allowed me to develop confidence in myself and my capabilities. Through exhibiting characteristics of being easily-approachable, reliable and hard-working, I was able to gain the trust of many supervisors in a matter of a days and thus enjoyed high ratings. Whilst I enjoyed working in customer service and the level of self-determination Joblink offers to its employees, I was challenged by the ever-changing job environment. However, I greatly enjoyed overcoming these challenges and working hard to make sure that every customer left with their spirits uplifted!

HandsOn is AUC's Philanthropic and Volunteering Committee. A student-led initiative, it focuses on both fundraising and volunteering opportunities. As the Public Relations Manager I oversaw the promotion of HandsOn events on various social media platforms. As a Board Member I took an active role in both organizing and participating in our events.

I worked as a barista and all-around cafe employee during my last year in high school. From preparing products and serving customers to cleaning and closing up the cafe, I juggled many different roles and responsibilities, including successfully training new employees after only a month into the position. I learned about team work through working in a busy setting with multiple co-workers. Contrastingly, I also learnt independence by working nights by myself. All in all, working in a high pressure environment at a fairly young age taught me the value of hard work and responsibility.

As a food vendor on an ice cream truck I had responsibilities ranging from product preparation and presentation, customer service and maintenance tasks. This job was my first touch into work life, and I found myself enjoying the management of these various tasks. Even though the work place was busy and I had to work under pressure, I handled my job well and continued to work for Minetti in the summer of 2018 as well.

After having played football on a competitive level for years, I got to share my expertise in the sport by coaching a 13 year old girls' competitive level team. I especially valued the opportunity to support and inspire girls in a sport that is, unfortunately, largely male-led. From weekly practices and tournaments to training camps, it was a memorable soccer season of coaching actively. The role taught me responsibility and organizational skills.
