This summer, I developed a Python-based GUI for a program to test weather station sensors, building on a backend I created last year. The purpose of the GUI was to connect the backend to the frontend to enhance ease of use. I also introduced additional automation features to streamline the testing process, improving efficiency and accuracy. At the end of the summer, I successfully deployed the software for pilot testing to prepare for its internal launch.

During my Bachelor’s Thesis work at Vaisala, my primary focus was on streamlining the weather station testing process through automation. By implementing a semi-automatic testing approach utilizing Python, I successfully automated the majority of weather station sensor test cases. This semi-automated approach not only resulted in a more efficient and time-saving testing procedure but also significantly increased the throughput of the factory at Vaisala. This experience enhanced my skills in programming and deepened my expertise in troubleshooting and quality assurance.

During my 3-month internship with Vaisala as part of the Giant Leap program, I led a significant project focused on automating weather station testing. This project aimed to improve efficiency and accuracy for various sensors like humidity, pressure, and cloud height sensors. To achieve this, I developed a Python program to replace manual testing procedures.I began by researching and analyzing project goals, laying the groundwork for the subsequent steps. Next, I created the Python program for testing the weather station's sensor test cases. Finally, I presented the automated testing results, offering valuable insights.
