As the Head of R&D at Microlit, I manage the complete development and upgrade cycle of the entire Microlit liquid handling portfolio. Over the past 4 years, I have curated a team of skilful engineers and technology partners to upgrade our micropipettes, pipette controllers and electronic burettes. Furthermore, the team is developing new products to expand our footprint into complimentary lab instrument categories. Our vision is to understand the workflow and problems of users who work with reagents in a laboratory environment across the globe and develop products and features to address them. I also continue to actively manage the US operations of the Microlit business (30%+ revenue of overall business) that I founded with the support from US based institutional investors.Prior to Microlit, I have 4 years of Silicon Valley experience in building backend software infrastructure for consumer products and features actively used by 100+ million users. I have led various software development and data engineering efforts at MyFitnessPal (acquired by Under Armour) and LinkedIn. I have a CS degree from UIUC with Bronze Tablet (highest academic honor) and research publications in top academic journals for multimedia systems research. My technical background is supplemented with my MBA degree from UCLA Anderson School of Management. My educational background enables me to effectively lead product innovation and operations at Microlit.
