My work revolved around studying in detail what previous research had been conducted in an industry (Iron and Steel Industry in my case) and replicate the same with another industry in order to determine the viability of providing capital to companies competing in this sector. I chose to study the food and beverages industry. I had to make a report that covered all of the above stated aspects in detail and ascertain whether the Food and Beverages market is worth investing into in its current state. I consequently learnt how such capital-focused companies decide whom to back in the market, as well as how they decide which industries would be optimal to invest in.
