Functional Safety IEC 61508 / 61511 professional. Designed, written and validated safety critical software for three different fail-safe PLCs and multiple fail-safe IO modules which are safeguarding hundreds of chemical plants and refineries all over the world. Delivered the product requirements and architecture, and provided guidance to the development team, for a 2018 released SIL3 fail-safe PLC. Invented a SIL4 TUV approved communication protocol which is live since 2003 and is the core peer to peer protocol for safety critical communication. Delivered multiple hardware FMEDA, MTTF and Pfd calculations and passed these successfully through external agency (TUV Germany) assessment. Career spanning embedded Software Engineer, Systems Architect, Project Lead and as Engineering Manager I had the privilege to lead an international team of software and hardware engineers.Received company awards and filed multiple inventions for patent protection.
