As one of the two choreography chairs for VKA, I actively engage in a variety of responsibilities that encompass both team management and the enhancement of our performance set for the Desi Dance Network (DDN). My role involves collaborating closely with the board to establish clear objectives, track progress in various aspects, and provide mutual assistance, including prop-related tasks. Moreover, I am responsible for liaising with DJs to curate music for our performance set and collaborate with fellow captains and choreography chairs to develop and teach intricate dance routines to our team of thirty UVA students.

Fueled by our passion to make dance accessible and enjoyable for all, my friends and I have taken the proactive step of organizing a dance competition at the University of Virginia. Within our executive board, each of us assumes distinct roles crucial to the competition's success. Personally, I am entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing hospitality, alongside my dedicated partner, Shriya Ravikanti. Together, we lead a team of ten individuals, diligently working on tasks such as hotel decorations, merchandise, and catering to ensure the seamless execution of all events. In pursuit of our objectives, we have established collaborations with UVA for financial support and reached out to external organizations beyond the university to accomplish our goals.

Best Buddies Mission: "Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)."Being an active participant in the Best Buddies program went beyond mere event attendance for me. While regularly joining events with my buddy, I invested significant time in fostering a meaningful connection. This involved introducing her to my circle of friends and providing insights into my lifestyle while genuinely learning about hers. To ensure she felt at home, I extended gestures such as showcasing my dorm, sharing meals, and creating a welcoming environment. Beyond personal interactions, I actively worked on empowering her communication skills, encouraging her to engage with others and confidently voice her opinions. This experience enriched my understanding of inclusivity and reinforced my commitment to creating environments where everyone feels valued and heard. As I reflect on these interactions, I am motivated to continue championing inclusiveness and empathy in all aspects of my life.

The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) at The Children’s Science Center comprises a dedicated team of mentors and twenty-three high school students, all committed to furthering the organization's mission of instilling a passion for STEM. Through high school student volunteerism, leadership initiatives, and collaborative efforts, the YAB actively promotes the Children's Science Center's goals and objectives. Our multifaceted approach involves segmenting the organization into specialized groups, each addressing distinct topics of interest. Together, we have orchestrated and hosted events like Earth Day, catering to children of all ages. We've created informative videos for schools, successfully secured grants, and crafted proposals for the prospective future location of the Children's Science Center. Having served for two years and successfully navigating a rigorous interview process, I was thrilled to have been chosen as a co-chair to lead the YAB. In that capacity, I was eager to guide the board in aligning with the organization's mission and vision, continuing our impactful initiatives, and inspiring the next generation's love for STEM.

South Lakes High School competes under the supervision of the Junior Achievement Company Program(JACP) to come up with innovative, student-led companies. With a group of motivated and selected individuals from South Lakes, we decided as a team to empower local artists by displaying artwork on various products, including apparel and accessories.
