The program is principally designed to protect patients and ensure the safety and integrity of branded medicines against counterfeiting, diversion, theft and fraud. Lead the Brand Protection Taskforce and direct all associated programs, processes and procedures. Conduct risk profile assessments and develop strategies to mitigate product specific threats in high risk countries. Assist with the development of physical security packaging solutions, including track-and-trace (serialization) and layered overt/covert features to deter and detect counterfeiting and unlawful diversion. Develop and implement internal and external brand protection awareness programs, to include training for global law enforcement authorities and Customs officials. Direct global investigations targeting criminal organizations responsible for trafficking in counterfeit, adulterated, unapproved and other unsafe prescription medicines and consumer healthcare products.

Senior security executive responsible for enterprise-wide corporate security. Develop, design and implement company-wide policies, procedures and protocols to protect the company's personnel, facilities, products and supply chain. Ensure compliance consistent with DEA, FDA and other regulatory agency requirements. Hire, train and manage subject matter experts in each role. Global responsibility for coordinating Apple’s Brand Protection function, to include developing policies, procedures, training and a state of the art database. The comprehensive brand protection training program was successfully implemented globally and translated into Spanish, Arabic, and Mandarin Chinese. Extensive training of law enforcement and Customs officials throughout the world led to significant seizures of counterfeit Apple products on a weekly basis. The database was used to collect intelligence, conduct trend analysis, prioritize targets and maximize investigative results. Also responsible for Supply Chain Security, including developing security infrastructure at 3rd party manufacturing sites in China to deter diversion and leakage; as well Traveler Security, Crisis Management and all general security investigations in the Americas, EMEA and India regions.

Responsible for creating the company’s first enterprise-wide corporate security department and hiring the entire team. Developed and implemented policies, procedures and programs to protect Purdue’s personnel, facilities, products and supply chain. These efforts also included focused and ongoing enhancements to security measures designed to protect Purdue products throughout the supply chain and distribution channels. Key senior executive responsible for the launch of Purdue Pharma’s successful RFID item-level track & trace program, as well as incremental product security measures including sophisticated covert and overt packaging solutions to deter counterfeiting and diversion. Implemented electronic surveillance of our supply chain utilizing state-of-the-art GPS/GSM product tracking tools. Principally responsible for Brand Protection, Supply Chain Integrity and Travel Security functions worldwide. Initiated and directed successful investigations targeting international prescription drug counterfeiting organizations throughout the world. Collaborated with foreign law enforcement and regulatory officials to effect arrests and drug seizures in countries such as Korea, China, Thailand, Colombia, Mexico, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Conceived and implemented innovative approaches to conducting global site security and market authentication surveys. Developed an innovative chemical fingerprint library that allowed for the comparison of counterfeit drugs to identify a common manufacturing source. Created a crisis management plan (i.e. anti-kidnapping, anti-extortion, …etc.) for Pfizer executives living and working in high-risk countries.

Global responsibility for corporate security functions to include: Investigations relating to diversion, theft and counterfeiting, as well as trademark and copyright infringement. Aaron was also responsible for directing internal investigations involving theft, embezzlement and misappropriation of company resources, and conducted liaison with law enforcement officials globally is support of investigations where prosecution was warranted. Aaron was a keynote speaker at various industry functions on the topic of product diversion and consumer safety.

Responsibilities included directing investigations in support of Title 21 of the United States Code pertaining to the Food Drug and Cosmetics Act, the Prescription Drug Marketing Act (PDMA), drug diversion and counterfeiting, clandestine manufacturing of unapproved/illicit drugs and incidents involving consumer product tampering. During my tenure I conceived and directed the agency’s largest reverse undercover investigation (Operation Grey Pill) targeting the unlawful diversion of prescription medicines in the Grey Market. The investigation resulted in the arrest of more than 150 subjects and the seizure of in excess of $25 million in fines and asset forfeitures to the US government. This successful investigation was the result of close collaboration with the FBI, IRS, U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Attorney’s Office and pharmaceutical industry security professionals. ➢ Outstanding Performance Award 1995
