Tutoring peers for Introduction to Pharmacology

• Preparation and assisting surgery, including, but not limited to, blood collection, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and performing dental prophylaxis.• Performed routine laboratory and diagnostic test (including, Abaxis, IDEXX machines)• Updating medical records, recording physical exam findings, discussing concerns with clients and communicating diagnosis/treatment• Practice proper restraint on animals during procedures and administering prescribed medications• Perform dental prophylaxis on patients and aid with other surgical procedures • Monitor and record vitals for patients under anesthesia

• Propose proper diagnostic tools and establish a treatment plan• Aid in calculating and dispensing medication• Perform physical exams, effectively decipher diagnostic results and utilize proper treatment options• Inform clients about their pet’s healthcare, treatment plan, hospital services and how they can contribute to their health positively• Assist in ovariohysterectomies, castrations, exploratory surgeries and cystotomies• Learn how to properly use dental radiograph equipment and extract teeth appropriately
