He works for GM since 1993, started in Manufacturing as Electronic Technician and then has held several positions including Design Release Engineer (DRE), Vehicle Specialist Engineer (VSE), Liaison Engineer at Opel in Germany, Manager for Electronic Systems at GM South America, EBM to GMSA Engineering VP, Senior Manager responsible for Engineering Operations, Director of Electrical, Software and Infotainment & Thermal Engineering at GMSA, Director of Global Validation for Connected Infotainment and Telematics in the USA, and recently as Director of Validation, Test Labs and Proving Grounds of General Motors’ JV Engineering Center located in China (PATAC).Alex is an Electrical Engineer graduated in Brazil at PUC-SP (Catholic University of Sao Paulo), has a Master in Science degree in Electrical Engineering from USP (University of Sao Paulo) and MBA in Knowledge Management, Technology and Innovation from FIA (Fundação Instituto de Administração – Sao Paulo – Brazil).He has published 46 technical papers in magazines and congresses (papers related to On-board Electronics and Knowledge Management), as well as the book "Eletrônica Embarcada Automotiva" (On-board Electronics), published in Brazil in 2007 (first book about the subject published in Portuguese).For 3 years Alex was part of the GM Institute in Brazil, as Director for the Economic Empowerment pillar. The 10+ projects developed and implemented over his term helped hundreds of people.
