Knoema is the SquareSpace for Data: an end-to-end Knowledge Management solution backed by an innovative search technology enabling autonomous data discovery across a firms internal and external data assets. I helped define and execute Knoema's product and growth strategy. In addition, led due-diligence, integration and restructuring efforts for Knoema's acquisition of Adaptive Management, a leading Alternative Data aggregator and solutions providers to Financial services companies.

Oversaw data science and product strategy for a $15Bn Activist Hedge Fund. Probably the steepest and most rewarding learning curve I've ever encountered in my career, both culturally and quantitatively. Led development of the data management & trading simulation engine, built industry specific models rooted in Alternative Data based signals, managed a $500mm tactical short portfolio for them, and helped run due-diligence for Enigma Technologies' Series C raise that we led along NEA.

Was given 2 engineers, a product manager and a challenge to re-imagine a 25 year old monolithic windows app as a native web application, while maintaining full backward compatibility. Grew the team to over 50 folks and while we at it, rebuilt the front-end application, rebuilt FactSet's Formula IDE, implemented ML driven semantic search and oversaw creation of a remote grid that rendered a million cell table in a browser, now used across all FactSet apps. Its called FactSet Screening, it powers FactSet on the Web, and supports over 120000 enterprise users and over 2 million screens a day. Work for FactSet! They are an incredible company and I had the honor of working with some truly remarkable people.

Helped run Revere Sales and Product integration post acquisition. Built RBICS, FactSet's Global Classification System, now powering FactSet branded ETFs, FactSet's Portfolio Analysis Tools, FactSet Market Indices, Screening and many more applications.

Alternative Data company before they coined the term. Ran point on Product and Sales. Grew the business to over $6mm in ARR with 98% client retention rate. Built a research driven sales process where we partnered with academics, published whitepapers, packaged it with quantitative trading code and delivered it via an automated data governance engine; it was and still is always about the data. My favorite quote that transformed our business was "your online platform is okay, but the data is wicked good. Can we just buy that". Margins shot up, clients bought the data in droves, FactSet bought us.
