I am the Clinical Director for Acute Medicine at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, where I also fulfil my role as a Consultant in Acute and General Medicine.My expertise centres on managing acutely unwell patients within the Medical High Dependency Unit (HDU), Acute Medical Unit (AMU), Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) and the Emergency Department.I have a robust clinical skill set, with a keen interest in managing high dependency unit patients requiring Non-Invasive Ventilation and inotropic support. One of my key areas of interest lies in the legal aspects of medicine, specifically risk management and governance. I have achieved a distinction in the Diploma for Legal Medicine and have completed a diploma with Capstick's in clinical risk and claims (A+). My interest in this field aids me in my significant involvement in Governance and complaints management at the trust.Beyond my clinical responsibilities, I also train and supervise doctors in training, and other allied healthcare professionals. This experience has honed my skills in counselling, supervision, and mentoring. I am recognised for my teamwork capabilities, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities, which have been instrumental in various service development projects at my local NHS trust.
