Aakash is a data scientist with a master’s degree in Physics from University College London. This degree has allowed him to develop his research and problem-solving skills. As a result, he developed the ability to break down large problems into manageable steps and tackle them systematically. His interest in technology was ignited during college, where he completed an internship at the University of Leicester. This involved using a number of unfamiliar pieces of software to search a NASA database containing over 500 million images in order to find one that met a specific criterion. Aakash demonstrated his communication skills when he presented his research, searching for a variable source in the NASA WISE Database at the Nuffield conference. He has also given presentations on the same topic at University and in Korolyov, Russia for the International Space Olympics where he represented the United Kingdom. Aakash’s presentation was placed in the astronomy group and within this, he came in first position from the UK team. Additionally, he received a GOLD Crest award for his efforts.
