I am a Senior Commissioning Editor at Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group, Informa plc. With 18 years’ experience in the field, I have seen the publishing industry transition from editing on hard copies and checking camera-ready-copies on special coated paper to dealing with opportunities and challenges presented by AI. During this time, I have worked on a variety of formats and have published books on a wide range of subjects from history, archaeology, sociology, literature, media and cultural studies, public policy and political science to new and emerging areas such as science and technology studies, sustainability studies, Global South studies and digital humanities.Over my years with leading academic and trade publishers, I have worked with and learnt from some wonderful colleagues and authors and made some lifelong friends along the way. I have a master’s in English literature from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and graduated from St. Xavier’s, Kolkata. In my spare time I like to read, travel, make photographs, and watch football. I have occasionally written on photography and football.
