Project: Sourcing Analytics Portal (Client - General Electronics (GE), US)This project was to implement a single point reporting portal for GE internal reporting purposes. GE had various sourcing businesses using different ERP systems in place such as Oracle ERP, SAP, and BAAN etc. Using Informatica data was extracted from different databases and loaded into a single Oracle database which was used for Cognos Reports. • Worked on canned reports (Purchase order reports, Accounts payable reports, Invoice reports, Inventory reports etc.)• Generated various List Reports, Grouped Reports, Cross tab Reports, Chart Reports, Drill-Down and Drill-Through Reports. • Worked on Custom (ad-hoc reports) requested by various business units.• Created Dashboards to present critical company data in a single report.• Created list reports & cross tab reports using Cognos.• Manually modified the SQL in Report Studio to tune and/or to write complicated reports. Project: Software Governance (Client - General Electronics (GE), US)This project focused on finding discrepancy and non-compliance of the software installed on the machine assigned to the user as per their entitlement defined by GE Data Governance team.• Designed, Developed and maintained the software governance tool used by GE to carry out the scan on all the machines throughout the whole organization to get the information about software installed on each machine assigned to specific users. • Responsible for writing the database scripts (Functions, Stored Procedures) to Import the scan data to the database and compare the scan data against the master entitlement data to verify if users have all the software installed on their machines as per their entitlement and also to verify if users are utilizing all the software installed (License) on their machine.• Worked on the Post Assessment actions through sending User Queries using Mail Merge and Workflow and Follow-ups. This was needed to let users know if they need to uninstall any software from their machine because they were either non-compliant or not utilizing the license of the software or not entitled.• Complex Stored Procedures were developed to update the signature table if there's any new software found during the scan.• Responsible for coordinating with Data Governance team to ensure data accuracy, integrity and completeness.• Handled all client queries and ensuring defect free and timely reporting to client. Project: Custom Central and Reporting System Modules.Customer Central module was to develop a website through which customers can manage all the services provided to them from Hughes Communication. Reporting System Module generated the usage reports for each customer site. This system queried INGRES database and write the data to the text file which then FTP to the local server. The data then uploaded to the database & reports would be generated as per the requirements.• Participated in the workshops for gathering requirements for both the modules.• Involved in the Design discussions of both the modules.• Designed and Developed the Customer Central Website.
