I initiated tenure as Associate Manager for Indirect Taxation with exclusive responsibility of handling the function. Subsequently, in 2013, I was assigned a strategic role entailing Portfolio Management for Institutional Banking. Here, the responsibility was critical as a key contributor to designing, evaluating & executing the investment slate. Meanwhile the additional task of managing the newly carved out Analytics function also rolled into me. Moving on, in 2015, I was recalled to set up the Tax CoE, while ensuring the same is sustainable & relevant to the business needs. Currently, I am driving end-to-end responsibility of the Tax CoE and Analytics functions.As a part of the current role, I am responsible for ensuring compliance with Fringe Benefit, IndirectTax, Payroll Tax, Transfer Pricing and FATCA/CRS. I am also involved in preparing research reports covering company’s overview and business segments, Industry outlook and trends, recent news, financial analysis, key credit ratios, capital structure and liquidity and credit weakness and strengths. Industry intelligence and global best practices along with benchmark processes are also key to my assigned role here. Key highlights include automation strategies, reduction of hierarchy within the Tax function and enabling transparency, cost optimization and liaison with regulatory authorities. Additionally, I am driving the analytics function, while having been the focal point for developing in-house Analytics capability and transitioning the same from an external consultant. Major recognition includes nomination for CEO Award from the Bangalore Hub, best Kaizen award for continuous improvement, Group CEO Award for the involvement in Corporate Responsibility activities and also CEO Recognition Award (Take Charge and Standout) for 2014 and 2017.
