The world is scarcely simple, and it surprises me that we still use simplistic techniques to address complexity. Thus, I’m a woman on a mission - to embed a systems thinking approach in the way we not just tackle problems, but also view & engage with the world around us. I’m interested in working on complex, real life problems using an approach that moves away from reductionist frameworks, by embracing interconnectedness, emergence and 'systems change', as we go through one being experienced by the world AT THE SAME MOMENT, TOGETHER.I enjoy improving systems around me, not just by enhancing efficiency but by reframing the design of the object/environment/relationships to imagine different, better futures. I ask questions. I'm at my most creative brainstorming on problems that need a solution within realistic constraints, and thrive in unpredictability. Over the years, I've moved through the entire spectrum from consulting at McKinsey, to international sales leadership, to social impact (FSG's interesting work) to entrepreneurship (Sold a venture, set up another!) to design…and many others in this journey. Currently, you can find me doing consulting work, manage projects, conduct research, write, picking up code and steering systems thinking in the wider world. I sometimes teach at IIM Calcutta and sometimes visit other schools, and am constantly learning more about the power of systems.
