Aaliyah Thomas is a dedicated student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Health Management at Howard University, with a drive and ambition to make a change in the HealthCare industry, she is excited to embark on this journey. Eager to make a change in her community. She prides herself on giving back and mentoring young kids in her area. She serves as the Events Chair for B.E.S.T You Programming, where the sole mission is to inspire girls of color deriving from marginalized DC communities. Additionally, Aaliyah has shadowing experience with the Summer Health Professionals Program allowing her to get a deep look into the day in the life of E.R. and Trauma Workers learning the ins and outs, and seeing how hospitals run. Aaliyah is committed to being a voice for those around her as she was a student advocacy intern for the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences. Where she was able to give students the space to be heard by faculty and get concerns addressed.
