CurrentKey Achievements: • Recruited, trained, and scheduled 1,614 volunteers for the New York City Wine and Food Festival, showcasing exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.• Spearheaded the inaugural Woman to Woman repacks, resulting in the distribution of over 2,200 feminine hygiene kits to women and girls across the five boroughs.• Created the Volunteer Handbook for distribution to Food Bank staff, the volunteer network, and other supporters to streamline access to the volunteer code of conduct and provide information about Food Bank’s mission, values, and approach. • Lead application process to successfully maintain the department’s Service Enterprise accreditation, showcasing that the organization integrates volunteers and their skills into its human capital strategy to achieve its social mission.Responsibilities:• Oversee AmeriCorps members from September to July to enhance the organization’s volunteer capacity.• Train and provide ongoing support to incoming staff to improve departmental efficiency.• Develop and implement a year-round volunteer acknowledgment strategy, including planning and execution for Volunteer Appreciation Month.• Create and deliver impactful, tailored volunteer experiences that connect supporters with the Food Bank’s mission through special events.• Develop branding assets according to departmental needs, including toolkits, postcards, and webpages on the volunteer portal, while adhering to Food Bank’s branding guidelines.• Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to optimize the Volunteer Portal and enhance the visual and user experience.• Draft outreach and follow-up communications for new programs and upcoming events to increase volunteer engagement and acknowledgment for both in-person and virtual events.• Create monthly content for the Volunteer Newsletter, sent to over 1,600 subscribers, to boost volunteer recruitment and conversion from volunteer to donor.
