I represent plaintiffs and defendants in high stakes matters in federal and state courts, and work collaboratively with clients to overcome regulatory roadblocks. My clients span a variety of industries, including, gaming, sports, technology, construction, retail, and agribusiness. Prior to my legal career, I was a certified public accountant handling complex accounting issues involving revenue recognition and SEC footnote disclosure for uncertain tax positions. Because of my background, I approach each and every matter as business pragmatist. I provide critical guidance to my clients so they can attain success in and out of the courtroom. I currently co-chair Stinson LLP's Sports and Entertainment Practice, with an emphasis on emerging business issues, including sports betting, fantasy sports, and other fan engagement strategies. I also have experience in the funding, development, and construction of sports venues across the country. Frequently, club counsel turn to me to help them navigate mission critical issues and to minimize risk where necessary. In my spare time, I support important community and business organizations, including the Minnesota Twins Community Fund, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, the Sports Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association's Forum on Entertainment and Sports.
