I work at INTA in the development of space optical instrumentation. My research is focused on new technologies, techniques, materials and devices to be used in payloads for space missions. Polarimetry and ellipsometry are my main areas of expertise. The team I lead has developed the first polarization modulator based on liquid crystals for a space telescope. I am co-founder of the first INTA spinoff, the company @Eye4Sky, which markets this technology for multiple space applications. Our devices, among other relevant contributions, are onboard the Solar Orbiter mission launched on February 2020. I have been working on Solar Physics missions for many years and now, more recently, also I am involved in the development of Quantum Communication space systems.
