As the child of veteran and a military veteran myself, I've moved nearly 40 times in my life! Professionally, this has taught me flexibility and confidence in new situations, organization, excellent communication through meeting a great variety of people, and trustworthy leadership skills from leading other sailors and maintaining a TS security clearance.But personally, learning is my passion and problem solving is my zeal! The combination of the two give me a knack for identifying the inefficiencies in processes or delivery, and cultivating simplistic and innovative solutions.Learning:As a child, I read every book I could get my hands on. I wanted to know it all! The librarian was kind enough to make an exception to the rule "No more than XXX number of books", much to the chagrin of my family waiting in the car. As an adult, and with widespread information at our fingertips, its still just as fun to learn something new and end up researching it for hours. I'm currently self-pacing through Python (Code wars, anyone?).For my fellow learning-lovers out there: podcast recommendation "the weirdest thing I've learned this week"Problem solving:Obstacles that lets me flex creative muscles become puzzles to be solved: There is something incredibly satisfying about a complex issue that requires data-digging and some out-of-the-box fixes. It feels like complicated but fun tetris. Seeing the improvement afterward is icing on top.What inefficiencies do you have that could use a imaginative mind to solution?Outside of work I enjoy:😺My Siamese cat, who is too loud and has yet to meet a human he did not immediately love (Thor)🎮A wide genre of games (magic the gathering, catan, valorant)⚔️The ongoing and nearly 7 year-old DND campaign I'm in (drow dex-fighter for the win)🪴My sun-room, which is fully dedicated to plants. Working on plans to automate the watering of them all!
