• Lead a team of 10 engineers and 20 technicians and streamlining operation/maintenance (predictive, preventive & corrective) on CMMS (SAP) based maintenance system on diversified equipment including LV/MV/HV motors, MCCs, switchgears, LV/MV circuit breakers, variable frequency drives, power transformers, back-up generators, cathodic protection system, data centers, CCTV, power quality system, UPS, PABX, HVAC, Chillers, mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP), fire alarm protection system, DCS, PLCs, control valves and field instruments at Ammonia, Urea, DAP and Utilities plants.• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify/eliminate electrical failure causes and resolve complex electrical problems.• Manage 2 X 26.3 MW GE frame 5 gas turbines with GE EX2100e excitation systems and G30 protection relays, field ground detection system. Ensure quality control of electrical equipment.• Spearhead testing, inspection & maintenance of gas turbine generator/protection relays & synchronization of 13.8 kV switch gear (SF6), 2.4 kV switch gear (vacuum) & 480 V switch gear (air).• Implement highest industrial standards of HSE, work permit procedures PTW, JHA, electrical equipment isolation procedures including Lockout/ Tagout (LOTO), while preparing annual budget of electrical unit (OPEX & CAPEX) and managing cash flows. Critically reviewing inventories of spare parts/consumables regularly and advising supply chain to maintain/up-grade material inventories.• Conduct technical bid analysis, and manage inspection lots.• Lead Civil Unit team in facilities maintenance management for residential buildings, suggest cost effective solutions, manage crisis and emergency situations, approve purchase requests, develop business case for high value purchases, prepare cost estimates for MEP projects.• Supervised purchases of electrical and mechanical equipment that was part of 60M$ Ammonia BMR project; negotiated with outside vendors to cut costs by 10%.

• Directed technical team in designing/development of purchase order specifications, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of LV/MV motors of Air Booster blower compressors & Hydrogen recovery unit, motor starters and digital multifunction motor protection relays, PLCs, power/ control cables during BMR project of Ammonia plant in 2006 and 2007.• Accomplished all jobs using in house resources resulting in cost saving of 70K$.

• Lead Trainer in Learning and Development Center of FFBL. Conducted 10+ skill improvement programs (including electrical workplace safety, electrical measuring & testing devices, induction & synchronous motors, generators, UPS, power transformers, VFDs, electrical protections, electrical equipment selection & maintenance in Hazardous locations) for engineers, technicians and operators. • Arranged and handled Level I and II trainings for new inductees.

.• Rendered support in basic & detailed engineering, construction and commissioning projects, while aptly handling power generation by 2 x 26.3 MW GE gas turbines at 13.8 kV @ 60 Hz and power distribution system at 2.4 kV & 0.48 kV @ 60 Hz (AEG & ABB switch gears). • Led design review of single line and schematic/wiring diagrams of switchgears & motors, grounding/lightning system drawings/P&IDs submitted by EPC contractor, cable/generator sizing calculations, cable selection, UPS/ batteries for critical loads & indoor/outdoor lighting system ensuring that work aligns with project specifications and international codes & standards. Performed short circuit calculations of electrical system.• Reviewed feasibility, power system protection/ coordination and arc flash studies, equipment layouts, load list, area classification, equipment sizing calculations and data sheets.• Selected and evaluated electrical equipment for normal and hazardous locations (ATEX), ensuring compliance with safety regulations and reducing potential risks by 30%, while managing programmable logic controller (PLC) based electrical load shedding system and 60/50 Hz static and rotary frequency convertors.• Designed electrical system, generator room and substation buildings for FFBL tank farm area. • Prepared & processed electrical job packages, including preparation of complete electrical job scopes, bill of material/quantities (BOM/BOQ) &relevant drawings.
