Hello, welcome to my LinkedIn page,I'm Aamir Patankar, a second-year finance and financial planning student at Curtin University.My passion for finance and the flow of money has been brewing over my life, which led me to my degree here at Curtin University. I am looking forward to starting my professional career in the industry as I look forward to being able to increase my ability to help clients and the community increase their financial literacy and stability.At the end of last year, I was appointed club secretary for the Curtin Finance and Financial Planning Club. I applied for this club as I wanted to share my passion for Finance with like-minded individuals and reach the broader community. Being the secretary has allowed me to connect with industry professionals and create valuable connections, teaching me effective communication skills and some industry insight.For the past year and a half, I have had the privilege of working at a JD Sports store. During my time at the store, I have been able to rise to become the second in charge of my department which has come with more responsibility, which I have enjoyed learning and being able to perform at a high level. During this time I have also been working on my communication skills whether that be through the management structure that is established at JD Sports, as well as my communication skills with the larger community that surrounds the store.
