Msc candidate currently focusing on estuarine health and microplastics found in 2 urban estuaries in the Western Cape. I’ve been afforded the opportunity to work on various conservation projects in my previous job experience. From volunteering as a conservation technician within the fire unit at NCC Environmental services, being employed as a project implementer in the Guttural Toad Project as well as working as an Environmental Communications Assistant at the City of Cape Town. I am a hardworking, trustworthy and reliable individual with a drive towards a professional career in ecology and sustainable development through project management, implementation and science communication. I am dedicated to broadening my skills and knowledge in order to always deliver the best services as well as being an expert in the field. Coming from a previously disadvantaged background racially and as a woman, I believe that I can make a difference by showing and inspiring women of colour to pursue their career goals.
