Materials Technology Engineer - Thermoplastic Composite Pipe
CurrentAs a Materials Engineer, I spearhead the qualification of various Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP) layers for Flowline/Riser Applications. My role involves:1. Lead the development and optimization of polymer composites and fiber-reinforced materials for various applications, focusing on PVDF, PE, and PA12.2. Conduct comprehensive material testing analyses (e.g., tensile strength, elongation, impact resistance) and failure analysis to evaluate material performance under diverse operational conditions.3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select appropriate materials for manufacturing processes, enhancing the design and reliability of components.4. Develop and refine polymer formulations and composite layups to improve mechanical properties and environmental resistance.5. Conduct thermal testing analysis (DSC, TGA, DMA) to evaluate material stability, phase transitions, and degradation points.6. Provide technical support for quality control and resolve production-related material issues using statistical methods.7. Document and communicate technical findings in reports and presentations to management and clients.8. Orchestrating the test program strictly adhering to ISO / ASTM standards, ensuring global compliance and quality assurance.9. Working closely with DNV to secure approval for the material qualification program, demonstrating our commitment to excellence and industry standards.
