Managing four fantastic projects for the India/ UK Together: Season of Culture: with CSMVS and British Library, HHarts and The Tetley, Govandi Arts Festival, -and three amazing exhibitions at the British Council New Delhi!

Along with two more partners, I worked with handloom producers to help them develop a digital foothold. Our first campaign, the Desi Mystery Bag, generated INR 15 lakhs of sale with minimal investment and went on to win the runners-up AIACA award for the most innovative marketing campaign.

CONSULTANT, UNBOX CULTURAL FUTURES SOCIETY FOR THE PROJECT LIVING CRAFTSMarch 2020- November 2021With the UnBox team I conceived the Living Crafts project with Future Everything that won funding from the British Council’s Crafting Futures initiative. Initially proposed as a project exploring collaborations between urban craftspeople and digital creative professionals, the eventual outcome was a project that focused on researching urban crafts and speculating possible futures. My role included identifying key resource people for the project and conducting a series of interviews with diverse craft related professionals to feed into the speculative future building. https://livingcrafts.co.in/index.htmlCONTENT COORDINATOR, HIMMAT SHAH BOOKS Jul 2015 - Jan 2016 Helped co-ordinate design, content and production of two high-end books by the artist covering his Drawings and Plaster works. I worked closely with the designer, Sanjeev Bothra and the artist to curate the artworks that need to be featured, worked with the writers on the content, and also in the actual detailing of print production.

For UNESCO New Delhi office, I worked with the Head of Culture to advise on the Intangible Cultural Heritage projects for the upcoming biennium, focusing on large-scale high-risk projects and supporting in developing contractual frameworks and processes.

I headed UnBox Cultural Futures for Quicksand Design Studio. An arts and culture organisation, UnBox is a platform born out of UnBox Festival that brings together critical thinking, hands-on making, future-facing ideas and a love for deep learning from multiple disciplines. UnBox manifested itself most publicly as a biannual conference but with several smaller projects and ideas, incubated within the platform. I worked with a small team, conceptualising, pitching, producing and managing several programs including supporting a new media platform and its related festival, Future Fiction and EyeMyth respectively. Support building a stronger voice for Indian design and designers.

I led on British Council’s work with creative industries This involved the complete responsibility of developing programs, finding partners, developing formats, advising and leading on connecting local sectors as well as the UK counterparts interested in working with each other. Conceiving and managing UnBox LABS: a new format of 15-day residency for an intercultural group of researchers and creative professionals to explore and incubate new ideas through collaboration in partnership with AHRC, UK; British Council, Mozilla Foundation and National Institute of Design. http://quicksand.co.in/unbox/fellowships Curating India’s design and fashion for participation in Alchemy, a South Asia festival at Southbank Centre and programming talks, exhibitions demonstrations and the fashion showcase featuring emerging designers of the time like Aneeth Arora, Sanjay Garg, Rahul Mishra and Hanif Kureshi for years 2011 to 2014.Coordinated several projects for the New Delhi office, a prominent arts venue including developing a calendar of events for the Queen’s Gallery. Partnered with different departments including English learners and library to develop wraparound programming for a wider audience. Notable successes have been substantial partnerships with emerging festivals such as UnBox Festivals, Kyoorius Designyatra and India Design Forum varying the content and formats of engagements according to the audience profile. British Council had a Creative Economy unit under their Arts Department meant to deliver projects within and support development of Creative Economy programme in India and Sri Lanka.I led the Young Creative Entrepreneur Awards for the years 2010 - 2013 as a cohesive Awards programme with an Awards night leading to stronger profile and higher engagement across sectors of Design, Fashion, Digital, Publishing, Music and Performing Arts.Leading role in the delivery of other Arts projects in North India.

Industree Crafts Foundation is the initiative of multiple award-winning social entrepreneur Neelam Chibber and works at artisan empowerment. I was a part of the team heading the home merchandising for a new crafts-based retail chain called Mother Earth while also coordinating the Delhi retail operations.

As a young design graduate, I worked with several developmental agencies for developing new craft product ranges across different materials and craft groups across the country. I worked extensively in natural fibre as well as ceramics across rural India. I also coordinated the UNESCO’s International Symposium on Natural Dyeing for Crafts Council of India, ran the Happily Unmarried store in Goa for a season and completed a short stint with exdl, the studio of Danish designer Niels Peter Flint.
