CurrentThe Kriti team facilitates learning and action around development and human rights issues through capacity building and communication techniques. We provide services in research and documentation; training for development change; design and printing for development organisations at grassroots, national and international level. We offer these skills on a variety of development and human rights issues, including labour, violence, health, education, environment, law and human rights, gender concepts and practice, etc.Through the Kriti Film Club, we screen and promote documentary films. At the community level, our Astitva programme in Dehradun provides child care, education support to children and livelihood linkages to working mothers from the informal sector alongwith domestic violence survivor support. We also engage with community partners in Delhi, Mumbai and Haryana to facilitate livelihoods of women and education of youth. We document people’s movements for rights through the annual production of ‘Our Diary’. Our Docushop and Gestures Ecological initiatives provide alternative products for sustainable consumption and livelihood support to community groups. Our work caters to the demands of a wide constituency — from people’s movements to international agencies; trade unions to women’s groups; government to social development organisations, media persons to individual activists, and academics to students.
