As Business Development Manager I was tasked with developing long term profitable relationships with C Level Executives at Mid sized financial institutions. Additionally I worked with financial institutions to help plan long range payments strategies. My particular area of involvement included payments related solutions such as Networks, Cards, Bill Pay, Mobile, P2P and merchant.

I started The Digital FI (digitalfi.tumblr.com) as an outlet to explore my writing ability. I write articles I think might be of interest to community financial institutions. I try to weave my brand of humor into some pretty dry topics, but I think it's fun.

I was responsible for a set of named accounts. I had responsibility for establishing and executing detailed account plans, forecasting and achieving new solution sales, while maintaining strong relationships with executives at key accounts.

I was responsible for solution based sales within a geographic region. I gained a broad range of knowledge in selling core and payment solutions, along with multiple ancillary solutions, such as internet banking, bill payment, CRM, business intelligence, fraud/compliace and mobile.

I "bought" automobile loans as a lender. I was directly responsible to a large number of automobile dealerships in the southeast. My day to day activities dealt with evaluating credit applications and providing approve/decline decisions.The most challenging part of the job was maintaining strong relationships with auto dealer finance personnel, who often evaluated your worth, based on how many cars you helped them to sell.
