My current research activities are based around new concepts for electric space propulsion with the motivation to resolve weak points in existing technologies and to provide electric propulsion systems for missions not yet possible.

Responsible for a 30 people research group (Plasmas Froids/Cold Temperature Plasma) at the LPP with 9 permanent researchers and 30 people in total. We are devoted to innovative scientific research and trains students at higher educational levels. We are specialized in atmospheric plasma physics and chemistry, low-pressure radiofrequency discharges in reactive gases, plasmas containing negative ions, plasmas in liquids, plasma surface-interactions, ion acceleration and beams. Our research supports applications within etching for microelectronic or photonic devices, air treatment, plasma medicine, and space propulsion. We are widely supported by industry, agencies and government grants.
