I am proud to be working as a resident physician at my current institution because it offers me the opportunity to grow and expand upon my interests in medicine. Additionally, I am grateful for my mentors and teachers because they fostered an environment of teamwork and inclusivity, and provided me with the necessary tools to be successful throughout my training. I completed my B.S. in Biology at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) with a minor in biochemistry and business administration. As an undergraduate at UTA, I became interested in areas of health psychology and spent time studying the effects of social media on mental and physical health. I also volunteered in local clinics such as the Mission Arlington Medical Clinic that cater to underserved communities. Upon graduation, I worked for a year prior to medical school at Baylor Scott & White emergency department as a medical scribe. I gained valuable knowledge there as I worked with astute physicians and nurses and learned the importance of teamwork in a healthcare setting. I have completed medical school and I am currently training in anesthesiology. Outside of medicine, I enjoy cooking, reading, sports, martial arts, and various outdoor activities.
